Season 2 of Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt is here and we feel like we’ve been waiting forever since Season 1 aired March 6th, 2015.

We’ve sat down completely willingly and have already binge-watched the entire 2nd season of Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt and decided to review what we thought was utter perfection for a follow-up season! We can promise you that you will not be disappointed by Season 2, it is just as hilarious as Season 1, maybe even better!

There are spoilers ahead in this article, each episode of Season 2 has been written about and labelled so you know where you can read to if you’re only a few episodes in and you don’t want any spoilers. You have been warned!

The theme tune still has us jamming every time and it’s great to hear it once again, let’s talk Season 2 of Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt!

Episode 10: Kimmy Goes to Her Happy Place.

Mikey realises that he has to come out to his family as he’s going to dinner with Titus at his family’s home. Mikey comes out to his family over a meal during an argument and finally calls Titus his boyfriend and then gets mad that Mikey’s family accept him for who he is and Titus gets upset that he never got to come out, he just left where he felt he didn’t belong for NYC where he was instantly accepted for himself. Titus teaches everybody about tolerance through a huge speech and a song.

Lillian is still struggling with change happening in her neighbourhood and starts a protest against a bakery. Lillian is constantly mistaken as a sweet old lady and uses this to her advantage to get her way when a police officer helps her into the building site that is building condo’s in her neighbourhood that she doesn’t approve of. She handcuffs herself to a bulldozer and swallows the key so that nobody can move her.

Kimmy starts therapy and we go back in time with Kimmy to the day that she was kidnapped and how she lived in the bunker. We learn how Kimmy deals with anger and how she goes to her happy place.Lillian desperately tries to show Kimmy how to get angry and nothing goes her way, everybody is nice to her. Until she says that Kimmy is on her own and Kimmy loses her temper and decides that she doesn’t like being angry.

In life, it’s important to make certain judgements about how we feel or how we think others should react, but it is also important to never be afraid to be who you are, or tell others who you are. You do yourself better than anybody. Be yourself and your world seems like a happier place.
