Emma D’Arcy Parents: Meet Richard and Sally – Emma D’Arcy was born in Enfield, a borough in North London.
She credits her introduction to acting to their role as Titania in a school production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream in year six.
She graduated in 2011 from the Ruskin School of Art at St Edmund Hall in Oxford. During their university years, D’Arcy and their friends dabbled in theatre, first as set designers and then as actors and directors.
D’Arcy quickly made a name for herself in the theater world, earning critical acclaim for her performances in productions.
In addition to her work on stage, D’Arcy has also appeared in a number of television shows and films.

The Pillowman at the Oxford Playhouse, Romeo and Juliet at the Southwark Playhouse, The Games We Played at Theatre503, Callisto: A Queer Epic at the Arcola Theatre, Against with Ben Whishaw at the Almeida Theatre, A Girl in School Uniform (Walks into a Bar) at the West Yorkshire Playhouse, Mrs. Dalloway at the Arcola Theatre, and The Crucible at the Yard Theatre are just a few of the plays in which she starred in.
D’Arcy will make an appearance in Philippa Lowthorpe’s comedy-drama Misbehaviour in March 2020. They played Emma Hobday in the love story Mothering Sunday in 2021. The film, which Eva Husson directed in 1924 and examined class differences and postwar survivor guilt.
Throughout her career, D’Arcy has proven herself to be a versatile and talented actress, capable of tackling a wide range of roles and genres.

D’Arcy made her television debut in the 2018 Nick Payne series Wanderlust on BBC One and Netflix as Naomi Richards. They played Alma Smith in the drama series Wild Bill in 2019.
She portrayed Sonia Richter in the 2020 action drama series Hanna on Amazon Prime Video. Additionally, she also played Astrid in the comedy-horror series Truth Seekers, which premiered on Amazon Prime Video in 2020 and starred Nick Frost.
It was revealed in December 2020 that D’Arcy had been chosen to play Rhaenyra Targaryen in the HBO fantasy series House of the Dragon, a prequel to Game of Thrones and an adaptation of the companion book Fire and Blood by George R. R. Martin.
The ten-episode first season of the show debuted in August 2022 after production on it had started in April 2021.

Sally, her mother, has the stamina to pursue both a career and charitable endeavors. She used to be an illustrator but later decided to make dancing her main career. She instructs dance at Cheltenham. She had previously resided in London.
